I’ve just had this for tea. Can’t stop chuckling to myself that this is fine to have on Slimming World. It was gorgeous. I was fancying burgers earlier on this week. I even nearly broke a near 2 year abstinence from McDonald’s food . I planned on this meal for tonight instead and it certainly was the right decision. Has also picked me up since feeling rather lousy the past few days.
Double cheeseburger – free (if using the roll and cheese slices as HEA and HEB). Made from extra lean mince, onion, garlic
SW chips (free)
Loads of salad & mushrooms – super free.
This week I lost 1lb, and I’m actually happy with that, even though I was disappointed with the same loss last week. Thing is, considering the weekend, I’ll take it! I wasn’t really bad, but I had a few more beers than I planned, plus some other bits.
I’m back in the swing of eating lunch, so I suppose that’s helping.
So far then I’ve lost 8 stone 5 1/2 lb, so the aim this week is to get 1 1/2 lb to get my 8 1/2 stone award.
Ive also worked out that I have 17 weeks until holiday. So, I need to lose 1.5lb per week to get to target by then. Doesn’t seem so daunting now!
In homage, to last weekend, here’s a great piece of dirt writing on a lorry I saw on the A449 this week, what a game!
As it is a late kick off today, and a Slimming World Chilli is compulsory on match day, we decided to have a late cooked breakfast:
Bacon with all visible fat removed (free)
Tomato (super free)
Mushrooms (super free)
Baked beans (free)
Scrambled Egg (free, milk from HEA)
2 x Wholemeal toast from 400g loaf (HEB)
Weight Watchers sausage (1/2 syn each)
HP Sauce (1 syn)
2 syns the lot!!!
1lb loss this week. A bit disappointed with that to be totally honest. I knew I wouldn’t enjoy big losses through the entire time of losing weight. I just wished it wasn’t happening now!!
Last week I stayed the same. I was asked to make sure I ate lunch properly each day. That was my only target. I did really well all week (until today) and made a conscious effort to eat something everyday. Due to being so busy in work, I had started either skipping lunch or just eating a couple of pieces of fruit.
I also played 5 a side football Monday night with some colleagues from work. Had a good run around. I was hoping this would also boost a loss.
Anyway, I will keep plugging away. Will make sure I continue with eating properly lunch times and try and up my exercise further. Even though I’ve ached since the football, I will be going again next week. I’ve also been reading this book: You are Your Own Gym (Kindle Edition) – and I’m nearly ready to start doing some of the exercise routines from it. There is an app to go with it as well, which I also hope will help – available for Apple and Android devices. I’ll let you know how I get on with them.
Had a go at the Chicken Korma and Pilau Rice recipe in the March / April Slimming World Magazine today. It was absolutely lush!!! Well worth a try. Recipe is on p.30. I’m picky about my curries and this is by far the best SW curry recipe I have tried to date. Definitely going to be made again.
Some of friends on Facebook commented on some of my recent pictures which are to be honest a bit ‘moody’ – so I posted up a smiley one!! Here it is:
This week I was awarded the ‘Greatest Loser’ award for the group. I took me by surprise as I didn’t know it was going to happen!! I wasn’t due to stay in class, but I sent few texts and sorted that out – I didn’t want to let the class down by disappearing.
Anyway, I’m chuffed to bits with this. I think I’ve now won more praise and awards from losing weight than anything else in the past! Its given me a great boost and I hope this translates into more losses so I can get even nearer to target.
Really enjoyed this meal last night. Bought a pack of New Zealand half shell mussels from Costco, cooked them in the steamer with a bit of salt, pepper, parsley and sprinkle of ground garlic. Would have added lemon if wed had any. For the ‘Italian pasta’ I roughly chop and onion and add it to a pan sprayed with fry light on full heat add feshly ground salt and pepper, 3 teaspoons of ground dried garlic, 2 teaspoons paprika, and 1 tablespoon of italian seasoning. I let it cook for a couple of minutes, stirring frequently, then add a tin of chopped tomatos and leave that bubble away for a couple of minutes. I then add a load of pasta to a pan of boiling water. Then , cover the sauce and turn down to the lowest heat and leave to cook gently. When the pasta is done, drain off the water, put back in the pan and mix in the sauce. Makes a really nice, quick, simple meal, which I usually have on its own or with something on the side – usually a chicken a breast or something like that. The mussels were a nice change!! Scrummy!!
