My new health gadget arrived yesterday, a Phillips Airfryer. I’m hoping this will unleash a whole new range of meal ideas in order to give the weight loss a final shove that it needs.
The Airfryer is part of a product category that has emerged based on using little oil and circulating hot air to get results as if the food we’re deep fried, but much healthier.
Other similar products include the Tefal Actifry range. The gadget show have done a comparison test previously and based on this and also on the recommendation of friends, I decided to try out the Phillips offering.
I’ll report some results once I’ve used it.
I’ve just had this for tea. Can’t stop chuckling to myself that this is fine to have on Slimming World. It was gorgeous. I was fancying burgers earlier on this week. I even nearly broke a near 2 year abstinence from McDonald’s food . I planned on this meal for tonight instead and it certainly was the right decision. Has also picked me up since feeling rather lousy the past few days.
Double cheeseburger – free (if using the roll and cheese slices as HEA and HEB). Made from extra lean mince, onion, garlic
SW chips (free)
Loads of salad & mushrooms – super free.
This week I lost 1lb, and I’m actually happy with that, even though I was disappointed with the same loss last week. Thing is, considering the weekend, I’ll take it! I wasn’t really bad, but I had a few more beers than I planned, plus some other bits.
I’m back in the swing of eating lunch, so I suppose that’s helping.
So far then I’ve lost 8 stone 5 1/2 lb, so the aim this week is to get 1 1/2 lb to get my 8 1/2 stone award.
Ive also worked out that I have 17 weeks until holiday. So, I need to lose 1.5lb per week to get to target by then. Doesn’t seem so daunting now!
