Spain 2026: Day 3 – Oveido to O Vicedo

Needed to charge the car ready for the drive to O Vicedo as we head closer to Resurrection Fest. After the first day of using Bip&Go, I switched to Octopus’ Electroverse app and cards as I use them back at home. Since then, the charging experience has been absolutely spot on. Put in the route, add the starting battery % , what you want it to be on at arrival, and it works out the charging stops etc automatically. So far it has chosen really great charging sites that have been fast, well maintained and have accepted the RFID card and keyring tag every single time.

Anyway, back to Oveido . If anyone is interested, the charging park we used was the largest in Spain! I also love the fact that many of the charging stations have solar panels that double as sunshades. Genious!!

The station was at a massive shopping mall, so we were able to grab a coffee and satisfy Helen’s craving for Primark!! After this, we headed to the Fernando Alonso museum. It would be rude to be in Oveido as an F1 fan and not pay it a visit, and it was incredible! Will do a special post at a later date with a massive photo dump. It really was a treat to see som much of Fernando’s personal collection of tropies, karts, cars, helmets etc. Incredible to see so many of his cars that have delivered an amazing F1 career.

After Oveido we set off for our next desitnation, with an unplanned stop along the route at an amazing pulperia A Feira. Our first chance to really delve into some Spanish cuisine with their Menu del Dia. Nommy noms!!!!!!! This is what its about!!!! The food was amazing!!!!

After lunch, we headed to O Vicedo, about 20 mins from the festival site, so we didn’t have much of a trek. Or so we thought!!!!!!
